Exploring the untold stories of Birmingham's Grime, Hip-Hop and Rap scene.
I have just organised the printing of 0121 LEGACY a 100pp hardbound book for Punch Records, Birmingham. The book was designed by Ryan Killeen with the team at Punch Records and is accompanied by a documenty series.
The synopsis of both the book and the documentary series lays in exploring the untold stories of Birmingham’s grime, hip-hop, and rap scenes - the artists who have been responsible for, and have influenced the city's Black music scene; allowing new sub-genres and artists to follow in their footsteps. The docu-series which will be released in Early 2024.
The book is a mix of personal accounts and stunning photograps by Birmingham based photographers Jamie Drew (no relation!) and Johnathan Williams.
